Aquatics

Housed within the Natatorium, the Aquatics program offers multiple opportunities for lap swimming, recreational swimming, and aquatics events. Our Natatorium houses two pools, a dry sauna, and an outdoor sundeck patio. Whether you are looking to improve your water fitness or just lounge around and enjoy the shallow water pool, Aquatics is here to provide enjoyable recreation experiences!

POOL SCHEDULE

Open swim is available during all hours of operation of the Natatorium. We are committed to providing a minimum of 2 lanes for lap swimming during open hours of operation.

Iron Month (feb 2024)

During the month of February RecWell offered the opportunity for individuals to work towards completing a full Iron Man race. In total, participants swam 397,737 yards (which is 241.05 miles), biked 7526.89 miles, and ran/walked 2556.945 miles. In total, we had 45 Iron Month Champions!! Below are a few of our champions! rww spartanfest pool party (Fall 23)

Students celebrate their first week at UNCG at the Spartanfest Pool Party & Gaming Contest. Held in the Kaplan Center Pool and adjacent 2-court-gym, students enjoyed pool games, gaming challenges, an obstacle course and Kona. What a way to to kick off the new year.

Pride pool party (spring 2023)

The Pride Pool Party was held in collaboration with Activities & Campus Events (ACE), the Office of Intercultural Engagement (OIE), and No Labels student organization.
