Piney Lake

Piney Lake, a part of UNC Greensboro since 1956, encompasses 40+ acres of beautiful park-like property situated eight miles south of campus near the community of Pleasant Garden. Piney Lake is the perfect place to unplug, recharge, and get in touch with nature. Whether you are coming to sit on the lakeshore to read a good book or trying out Stand Up Paddleboarding for the first time, Piney Lake has something for everyone!

TENNIS COURTS

Twelve tennis courts are available to the University community for recreational play evenings and weekends when not being used for academic classes or by the varsity tennis teams.

The Recreation Field is located next to the baseball stadium. This field is lit for night play and serves Competitive Sports and Informal Recreation programs.

OUTDOOR COURTS AND IRWIN BELK RECREATION TRACK

The Outdoor Basketball and Sand Volleyball Courts are located behind the softball and soccer stadiums. The Irwin Belk Recreation Track is located behind the UNCG Middle College and loops around the outdoor courts and pavilion. The track is open during daylight hours seven days a week.  The basketball and sand volleyball courts are lit for night play until 10pm.
