Finals/Winter Break Hours Notice:The Kaplan Center will have modified hours for Finals/Winter Break December 5th – January 12th. View the full schedue on the Hours of Operation page.
Facility Notice:On December 12th the ELEVATOR in the Kaplan Center will be OUT OF SERVICE from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a scheduled elevator shutdown with Facilities Operations for maintenance and programming upgrades. For any questions or concerns please contact Facilities Operations at 336-334-5684.

The Center for Student Well-Being is housed within the Department of Recreation and Wellness and strives to provide education and develop students’ knowledge as it relates to their health and well-being. We believe that a student’s success on campus is directly correlated with their understanding of their personal wellness journey. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, alcohol and substance use prevention, sexual health, nutrition and body image, mental health, and violence prevention. The Center for Student Well-Being, in collaboration with the Gender Diversity Working Group, is committed to affirming the lives of and promoting social justice for Trans* and Non-Binary people. Physical Well-Being: The functional and operational soundness of the body to include nutrition, exercise and sleep

Social Well-Being: The ability to successfully interact with people in our world, participating in and feeling connected to the UNCG community

Emotional/Mental/Spiritual Well-Being: An increased self-awareness/self care, expression and acceptance of a wide ranges of thoughts and feelings for self and others. A commitment to a set of values and principles that guide our actions.

Environmental Well-Being: Inspires individuals to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. This realm encourages individuals to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it. Environmental Well-Being promotes interaction with nature and one’s personal environment.

Career Well-Being: Engaging in work to gain personal satisfaction and enrichment, consistent with values, goals and lifestyle.
