Spartan Well-Being utilizes the Eight Dimensions of Wellness (physical, emotional, social, environmental, cultural, financial, occupational and intellectual) to educate and empower our community to make choices that contribute to optimal health and well-being.
DIMENSIONS of WELLNESS

Social Wellness: The ability to successfully interact with people in our world, participating in and feeling connected to the UNCG community.
Physical Wellness: The functional and operational soundness of the body to include nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
Emotional Wellness: An increased self-awareness/self-care, expression and acceptance of a wide range of thoughts and feelings of self and others.
Cultural Wellness: The ability to embrace one’s cultural background, as well as the diversity and richness present in other cultural backgrounds that make UNCG a stronger community as a whole.
Environmental Wellness: Inspires individuals to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. This realm encourages individuals to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it. Environmental wellbeing promotes interaction with nature and one’s personal environment.
