Men’s Lacrosse Club

With the weather warming up, outdoor sports are starting to re-appear on the various playing fields around UNCG. Last weekend the Men’s Lacrosse Club played their second game of the season against the Greensboro Lacrosse Club on the recreation field next to the baseball stadium.

“My two buddies joined the the team, so I figured I’d go ahead and jump on the train,” said sophomore Matt Ryan, a UNCG player. Ryan said that his favorite part of the game was the “face-off,” where the two teams battle over possession of the ball. “There’s some real scrapping,” said Ryan.

The game was the first that spectator Addison Beachum, a UNCG junior, had attended.

“I’m here watching my friends play,” said Beachum. “I like the intensity. I’ll probably come to more.”

The Club Sports Program here at UNCG is comprised of 20 Club Sports in a wide range of sports and events. Ranging from Rugby to Equestrina, Swimming to Quidditch, & everything in-between, the Club Sports Program offers students an opportunity to remain active. Visit the Club Sports page to learn more.
