2018 Sand Volleyball Championsips

The Go-Getters won the intramural sand volleyball Silver Championship in the open bracket last Sunday, defeating the One-Hit Wonders two sets to zero. However, the One-Hit Wonders were also champs, having defeated the Over Volley Chicks earlier to become the champions in the women’s bracket.

“It feels wonderful,” said One-Hit Wonder Tavia Sherman, a freshman. “I never thought this would happen in my entire life.” On a more serious note, Sherman said that she enjoyed volleyball for the friendships she had made and the exercise. The Go-Getters wee unable for a post-game interview.

In the Gold Championship, Team Thunder defeated Pi Kappa Phi, two sets to zero.

“After losing for two seasons, it feels good,” said Team Thunder member Daniel Rust, a junior. “We played really well, everyone had an all-around great performance.”
