Championship Dreams are Realized
The school year may be winding down, but Intramural Sports dodgeball action was heating up Tuesday night as teams vied for championships in the recreational and competitive divisions. The championships were held in the Kaplan Center’s multi-activity court.
Fall Indoor Volleyball Championships
“It feels good,” said Trash member Antonio Tarin, a junior. “We’ve been playing two years, and this is our second championship.” Train credited the team’s victory to “great teamwork.” Tarin said that this will be the team’s last year in the intramural league, as some of the members will be forming a men’s club volleyball team next semester.

The 2017 Fall Intramural Flag Football season drew to a close Monday, as the Silver and Elite championship games were held at the UNCG Recreation Field. In the Silver division, Zone 5 defeated the Greensboro Beasts 35-27 to take home the honors.
Men’s Lacrosse Club hits the field.
With the weather warming up, outdoor sports are starting to re-appear on the various playing fields around UNCG. Last weekend the Men’s Lacrosse Club played their second game of the season against the Greensboro Lacrosse Club on the recreation field next to the baseball stadium.
19th Annual Spartan Summit
Over 50 climbers came out to the Kaplan Center last weekend to take part in the 19th Annual Spartan Summit rock climbing competition. This is a significant increase compared to the total of 33 individuals who attended last year’s event, credited, by some, to the location of the climbing wall in the new recreation center.
