Lifeguard
The lifeguard position holds significant importance to the successful operations of the Kaplan Center Natatorium and the Piney Lake waterfront. Lifeguards ensure the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergency situations.

COMPETITIVE SPORTS
Competitive Sports Assistant
Competitive Sports Assistants enjoy working in a fun, active sports environment. They have the opportunity to continue their involvement in their favorite sports, gain lifelong skills, and become a part of a strong community. The primary role of the CSA is executing our nightly leagues and events. Flexible schedules with weekday and weekend shifts are available.

Group Fitness Instructor (Non-Certified)
A Group Fitness Instructor provides an incredible group fitness experience to the UNCG Community. Instructors develop fitness classes that motivate individuals to reach their fitness goals. The non-certified position is an entry level position. Training is provided.

Fitness Assistant:
The Fitness Assistant is a vital position within the Department of Recreation and Wellness, serving as a customer service representative and consistent monitor for risk management throughout fitness spaces within the Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness. The Fitness Assistant is often a point of contact for guests in need of assistance with fitness equipment and should be able to provide recommendations and support to a diverse body of participants.

The Certified Personal Trainer develops and executes customized health and fitness programming for students and the wider university community. MEMBER SERVICES
Member Services Assistant
The Member Services Assistant The Member Services Assistant (MSA) is a vital position within the Department of Recreation and Wellness, serving as the first customer service representative and primary operator of all Welcome Desk and Administrative Suite operations for the Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness. Member Services Assistants are the first point of contact for members and guests wanting to purchase a membership, guest pass, register for a course, checkout equipment, or inquire about any program offerings available. Our MSA team provides guidance and support to a diverse body of participants, and is tasked with welcoming all patrons and guests with a friendly attitude.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Outdoor Adventures Assistant
The Outdoor Adventures Assistant is a position of significant importance to the successful operations of the Outdoor Adventures program. Assistants are tasked with the responsibility of daily operations at the Outdoor Adventures front desk, Rock Wall, Equipment room and Piney Lake informal recreation. They are expected to work 8-12 hours per week with flexibility around class schedules available.
Some of the tasks & responsibilities include:
- Working directly with supervisors to accomplish daily tasks and maintain a safe and welcoming indoor climbing environment.
- Providing a positive and engaging
customer experience while enforcing all climbing facility policies. - Managing the climbing facility documents and records while administering risk management policies and procedures as needed.
